Brazil’s Finance Ministry withholds betting authorisation files under access law

Regulation

Brazil’s Finance Ministry denied requests for access to documents on betting-company authorisations, citing personal-data protections under the Access to Information Law, according to the report. The ministry said disclosure could require disproportionate administrative effort; requests for the 1xBet authorisation file were also denied.

Operators and applicants may face limited public scrutiny of authorisation records and related company information.
