Brazil’s government appointed Fernanda Villela Oliveira as Undersecretary of Authorization at the Ministry of Finance’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting, according to reports. Daniela Olimpio de Oliveira’s departure from the role, at her own request, took effect on 1 August 2026.
The appointment changes leadership of the unit responsible for authorisation and monitoring of regulated companies.

Brazil’s Casa Civil published an order on 4 September removing Raiana Luiza de Andrade Falcão Ferreira, at her request, as undersecretary for sanctions at the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting. The departure took effect retroactively on 1 September 2026.
Brazilian Finance Minister Dario Durigan announced Daniele Cardoso’s appointment as Secretary of Prizes and Betting on 23 March. The ministry said the appointments would be formally announced in the Official Gazette; Cardoso had previously served as the secretariat’s deputy secretary.
Regis Dudena is leaving his role as secretary of Prizes and Betting at Brazil’s Ministry of Finance to lead its Secretariat of Economic Reforms, reportedly after almost two years. Daniele Correa Cardoso, an undersecretary, will assume his former gambling-regulator duties on an interim basis.
Brazilian Prizes and Betting Secretariat head Régis Dudena reviewed the regulated betting market’s first year at the Bet On – Brasil event on 29 January, as he prepared to leave the post during a transition to the Secretariat of Economic Reforms. He said the authority had received and assessed more than 300 operator authorisation applications, and identified compliance with rules and action against illegal betting as continuing priorities.
Brazil’s Finance Ministry appointed Bruna Cecília Serra Reis to the role of adviser at its Secretariat of Prizes and Betting, following Marcelo Damato’s departure, the report said. Damato was dismissed at his request, effective 12 January, after about two and a half years in the betting-regulation area.
