Sega Sammy Holdings reported gaming-business sales of nearly JPY16.36bn for the six months to 30 September 2026, up 91.1% year on year. The segment recorded an operating loss of JPY3.9bn, which the company attributed in part to higher sales and a wider loss following its acquisitions of GAN and Stakelogic BV; group net profit rose 298.6% to JPY10.93bn.

France’s Autorité de la Concurrence approved Banijay Gaming’s planned acquisition of casino operator Joa without conditions, finding the transaction unlikely to harm competition. The authority focused on poker as the main potential overlap between online and land-based gambling, and said current rules barring online casino games limited its assessment.
