Bavarian court overturns gambling ban on low-stakes online prize games

Regulation

Bavaria’s Higher Administrative Court ruled that Seven. One Entertainment Group’s online prize games do not constitute gambling under the cited German rules when losses cannot exceed €10 an hour. It allowed an appeal to the Federal Administrative Court.

The ruling may affect how German authorities classify and regulate low-stakes online prize games while an appeal remains possible.
