BAGO urges stronger Belgian gambling regulator over illegal-market concerns
Belgian gambling trade association BAGO called for stronger support for the Gaming Commission, citing concerns about players using illegal gambling sites. BAGO said 28% of surveyed people aged 18 to 30 reported having played on an illegal gambling site, and backed commission president Magali Clavie’s call for urgent reinforcement of the authority.
The association’s position adds pressure for regulatory action as it argues restrictions may be driving consumers towards illegal sites.
