ANJ and CNIL update GDPR guidance for French gambling operators
France’s ANJ and the CNIL have issued updated GDPR guidance for gambling operators. The non-prescriptive document sets out practical recommendations for casinos, betting platforms and exclusive-rights holders, including on data purposes, service-provider contracts and impact assessments for money-laundering monitoring.
Operators must assess data use and safeguards when processing information for gambling-harm prevention and anti-money-laundering checks.
