AGCO advises Ontario racetracks on horse safety during Toronto heat warning

Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) advised officials at racetracks to remind participants to protect horses during a heat warning covering Toronto and surrounding areas on 30 June 2026. The commission said tracks should use temperature standards to determine whether races need to be cancelled for the safety of horses and participants.
