ADM director proposes higher slot payouts and lower tax in Italy
Mario Lollobrigida, director of games at Italy’s Customs and Monopolies Agency, proposed raising payouts on slot machines and video lottery terminals while reducing the Preu tax. He said the change should not reduce revenue in the medium term and urged lawmakers to use an earlier retail gambling reform text as a starting point for renewed work.
Higher payouts and lower Preu could change slot and video lottery terminal economics, though the proposal aims to preserve medium-term revenue.
