ABRAJOGO urges Brazil’s president to uphold regulated betting framework
ABRAJOGO said it issued an open letter on 17 September urging Brazil’s president to base measures affecting regulated fixed-odds betting on evidence, legal certainty and institutional dialogue. The association said 85 companies are authorised to operate nationally and argued that weakening the regulated market could expand the space for illegal platforms.
Potential changes to the framework could affect authorised operators’ licences, investments and contracts, according to ABRAJOGO.
