ANJL has challenged investigations into Brazilian betting operators, arguing that authorities are seeking retrospective taxation of activity before regulation. The association responded after Receita Federal and MPF launched an investigation into NSX over alleged tax evasion, currency offences and money laundering. Investigators allege the group moved more than R$5,000m during 2025.
