Informa plans to acquire Clarion, which owns ICE, from Blackstone for £2.24bn. The report says Informa identifies gaming among three high-growth categories the proposed acquisition would add.
Informa has agreed to buy Clarion from Blackstone at an enterprise value of £2.24bn on 6 October. Informa will fund the cash consideration through acquisition financing and net proceeds from a £940m equity placing and retail offer. The parties expect completion before the end of 2026.
Lottomatica has agreed to absorb Cirsa through an all-share merger. Cirsa shareholders would receive 0.668 Lottomatica shares per share and hold 32.5% of the combined company, with Blackstone expected to own roughly 24%. The transaction requires shareholder and regulatory approvals, with completion targeted for Q2 2027.
